Mabodu Ololade - Director
Mabodu Ololade, the convener of Auntie Lola Foundation (ALF) was born in the early 90s to the family of Sanusi. She attended Springland Nursery and Primary School, Ajuwon, Ogun State. She then proceeded to Model His and Hers College, also in Ajuwon, Ogun State for her Secondary Education. She continued her educational journey at the prestigious University of Ibadan for her first degree where she studied Human kinetics and Health Education from 2009 to 2013, finished her NYSC 2014.
Work Experience
Mabodu Ololade is a passionate educator and the visionary founder of Auntie Lola Foundation. Her career in education began in April 2016 with the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), where she taught at Idi Odo Primary School until 2019, and she currently teaches at Ayangbure Primary School. Ololade’s commitment to the teaching profession earned her a position as one of six teachers selected to participate in the Lagos State initiative “The Classroom in Your Home,” aired on LTV, ensuring that children continued their education despite difficult circumstances.
Her excellence in teaching has earned her multiple awards, including Best Teacher in Ikorodu and Best Teacher in a debate competition organized by Goldcrest Foundation. Under her leadership, many of her students have received scholarships and recognitions for their academic achievements.
In 2021, Ololade’s deep passion for empowering children led her to establish Auntie Lola Foundation. The foundation focuses on educating and supporting children with disabilities, helping them break through limitations and build confidence. Her initiative has positively impacted children in four schools within Ikorodu and one in Maryland. With the help of her dedicated team, the foundation has organized vocational summer classes, empowering children with life skills. Various programs such as cooking competitions, spelling bees, career days, and financial literacy workshops have been met with great success under her guidance.
